Number of Entries

One entry per person. If you have more than one entry you will automatically be disqualified. In addition, we'll call you bad names and make up stories about you. We may also give you a great big wedgie and shave off one of your eyebrows. No cheating! Got it?

Winners

Each participant can only win one round, plus the first prize. So if you are in the lead at the end of round 1, you get the round 1 prize. If you are still in the lead after round 2, the round 2 prize goes to the person in second place. Get the feeling we're trying to spread it around? You should.

Now, let's just suppose that you're still in the lead after the championship game. Good news! You'll still win the first prize.

If this seems a little fuzzy, go back to the first paragraph and read it again. Repeat as necessary until it sinks in. If you still don't get it, please excuse yourself from the tournament.

Scoring

Play-In Game: 0 points. You just need to pick the game in case you think the winner will beat the number 1 seed. If you think the winner of the Play-In game will beat the number 1 seed, we encourage you to make sure your next vacation is far, far away from Vegas.

First Round: 10 points per correct pick. 0 points for incorrect picks. 320 total possible points.

Second Round: 20 points per correct pick. Still 0 points for incorrect picks. 320 total possible points.

Round of 16: 40 points per correct pick. 40 points for incorrect picks. (No, not really. Actually, 0 points for incorrect picks. But over time they can really add up!) 320 total possible points.

Round of 8: 80 points per correct pick. 320 total possible points.

Round of 4: 120 points per correct pick. 240 total possible points.

Championship: 160 points per correct pick. 160 total possible points. God we're good at math!

Total: 1680 points possible. If you pick a perfect bracket, you da man or, the woman, whichever.

Everything Else

What about the play-in games?

We'll just call this round a warm up. If you fill out your bracket before the play-in games, make a picks. If you win, great. If not, consider them freebees. We'll give them to you anyway.

Who can win the prizes?

Anyone over the age of 18 that also fits within the evil confines of our legal page. Employees and family members of our sponsors and of emfluence, llc may participate, however they are not eligible to win prizes.

What about a tie in one of the rounds?

If there is a tie in any round, we'll have a random drawing to select the winner. If there is a tie at the end of the tournament, the 1st tie-breaker is the number of points scored by the winner of the championship game, the 2nd tie-breaker is a random drawing.
